1/2 C shortening
1 C brown sugar
1/2 C granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 C sour cream (or greek yogurt)
1 tsp. vanilla
18 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 3/4 C white whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp salt
Frosting:
1 cube butter or margarine
2 C powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Combine shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, sour cream and vanillas in a bowl. Blend well. Mix together flour, soda and salt in a separate bowl. Combine with the creamed ingredients. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips; drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Frosting: Melt butter; stir in powdered sugar and vanilla; front cooled cookies
